Recycling

For information on how best to recycle our packaging, please see the tables below.

For the jars, bottles and tins, you can reuse the packaging by thoroughly recleaning and drying.  Steenbergs offers a refill solution that comes either in paper or plastic packaging (we're in process of getting rid of the plastic).

Per Steenbergs strategy on packaging , we are doing our best, as a microbusiness, to remove bad packaging from our range, balancing that against what is best for the products that we supply.

In particular, we are removing the clear plastic film and replacing it with a "plastic free" film that is home compostable during the first half of 2020 (arrived with us on 6 February 2020).

The next phase is to remove the composite bags for bulk teas, herbs and spices.  However, we do offer paper bags as an alternative or we can recycle the returned bags through Terracycle.
